2025 Mindset Challenge

Imagine meeting your 2026 self, would you even recognize them? Not because they look different, but because they've become someone who laughs in the face of fear, steps confidently into any arena, and grows stronger from every challenge. This transformation isn't magic. It's the result of 13 intentional challenges you're about to embrace in 2025.
Here's the plan: Each month commit to a challenge that will expand your comfort zone (small or big, it really doesn’t matter). You'll push one boundary that currently holds you back. The beauty? You start exactly where you are - not where others think you should be. These challenges are deeply personal, tailored to your current comfort zone and aspirations. Why 13 challenges instead of 12? Because that extra challenge represents going just a little bit further than you thought possible.
Here are some suggested challenges (big or small, it is up to you):
Professional Achievement
Transform your fear of public speaking by volunteering to present at your next team meeting
Join a local Toastmasters chapter, where supportive members help each other grow
Train and get certified in something related to your job
Take on a role in a project that will force you to learn something new
Learn Generative AI prompting (ex. ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Claude.ai) to assist you in improving something you do at work
Physical Achievement
Never run before? Sign up for your first 5K and discover the "Couch to 5K" program or the walk/run method
Ready for more? Challenge yourself with a 10K or half marathon
Test your limits with a Spartan Race or gather friends for a Tough Mudder adventure
Take a month off from alcohol or from eating meat
Personal Growth
Take that first step back to college by enrolling in one evening class
Invest in your business skills through targeted marketing training
Work with a mindset coach to unlock your full potential
Journal everyday for a month
Find gratitude 3 times a day for something in your life (small or big) for a week
Commit to saying “I Love Myself just the way I am” 3 times a day for a week
Heal a relationship by inviting that estranged family member or old friend for coffee, coming with an open heart and ready to truly listen
This relationship challenge is so valuable that I think it deserves its own dedicated section. Here's how I'd add it:
Rebuilding Bridges
Those unresolved relationships - with family members or old friends - often weigh heaviest on our hearts. Sometimes the biggest act of courage is reaching out to say "Can we talk?" Schedule that coffee meet-up with the intention of truly listening and finding common ground. Leave your defenses at the door and open yourself to understanding their perspective. This might be your most transformative challenge of the year.
Remember - these are just springboards for inspiration. Your challenges should make your heart beat a little faster while remaining achievable. They should stretch you without breaking you.
